Chat with Tuchel convinces Neymar to stay at Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar will spend another year with Paris Saint-Germain. That's the latest line. Another turn in the soap opera based on the future of the Brazilian star this summer. After a meeting with new coach Thomas Tuchel, the player's changed his mind. A positive chat with the German, who explained his project and ideas, convinced the former Barcelona forward to stay put. 

After the meeting with Tuchel, Neymar returned to Brazil to continue his recovery from injury and join up with his national team ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer. 

PSG president Al-Khelaifi has given Tuchel complete power and his first job was to convince Neymar to remain at a club he has a contract with until 2022. In addition, the president made it cleat that the Brazilian international is not for sale and he will not put a price on the player. A decision which was communicated to Neymar and his father in response to a request to let him leave. 

"His father has told me that his future is in Paris," ‘L’Equipe’ reported Al-Khelaifi said a few days ago, a clear demonstration that the Neymar family had accepted the club's posture. 

But in Paris they know the soap opera won't end until the transfer market shuts. They're aware that Real Madrid will not give up on signing Neymar. 

"I have repeated it one thousand times, Neymar's going to stay here," insisted Al-Khelaifi. But the doubt will remain open while there are voices saying otherwise. The player's mother, for example, has not forgotten the whistles he was received when he clashed with Cavani earlier this season. She would like him to leave PSG for Madrid.
