The forward is currently playing for West Ham in the Premier League

Valencia have had a problem in front of goal this season. Coach Marcelino, therefore, is looking to fix that problem in January. Los Che want to sign a player who's dangerous in the box and who knows the Spanish league.

Fitting the profile is Mexican striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez, who previously played for Real Madrid and speaks Spanish.

However, Valencia will have to convince Hernandez's current team, West Ham United of the Premier League, to let him leave. The English club will have to find a replacement first.

The player's interested in a return to the Spanish league but it will depend on West Ham whether he's allowed to leave on loan, permanently, or not at all.

West Ham paid 17 million euros to sign him from Bayer Leverkusen and he has a contact until 2020.

Valencia are hopeful they will be able to push through a January deal for the Mexico international but they are also lining up alternatives in the event they are unsuccessful.
