Cádiz failed to secure all three points against Valencia in front of the home crowd on Monday

On Monday, Valencia and Cádiz were held to a 1-1 draw at Mestalla. Valencia were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 2-1 to Granada while Cádiz secured a point against Real Valladolid in their previous match. As the table looks today, Valencia are in 18th place on the table and has 16 points while Cádiz sit in 11th with 20 points after 17 matches.

After a goalless first half, Cádiz took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Anthony Lozano, 58 minutes in. However, they didn't maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from a Maxi Gomez, 79 minutes in brought Valencia level, and the game ended 1-1.

For Valencia, Kang In Lee, Alex Blanco, Manu Vallejo and Ruben Sobrino came on for Jairo Izquierdo, Anthony Lozano, Alvaro Negredo and Alex, while Cádiz brought on Carlos Akapo, Alvaro Gimenez, Filip Malbasic and Alberto Perea to replace Jairo Izquierdo, Anthony Lozano, Alvaro Negredo and Alex.

There were bookings for Denis Cheryshev and Hugo Guillamon from Valencia and Anthony Lozano and Alvaro Negredo for Cádiz.

Valencia will play away against Real Valladolid, while Cádiz will face Alavés at home.
