Fernández Borbalán noted in his report the Uruguayan's reaction to his red card

Like Neymar had to, he will now miss three league games through suspension

The Spanish Football Federation's (RFEF) Competition Committee have hit Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin with a three-game ban.

One game is for the two yellow cards which led to his dismissal against Eibar and two games are for an infraction of Article 117 of the RFEF's rules.

Match referee David Fernandez Borbalan wrote in his post-game report that "one dismissed and while still on the pitch, [Godin] said repeatedly to the fourth official: 'You're really bad.'"

Godin also made a glasses gesture and suggested that the match officials needed glasses to help them make decisions.

The Uruguayan centre-back, therefore, will not play again this season as Atletico look to finish third and secure automatic qualification to the Champions League group stages next season.
