The departure of Neymar to PSG for €222 million enabled Barça to spend and become king of the market, paying three of the top five highest transfer fees this summer.
The five most expensive transfers in La Liga this summer were:
1- Ousmane Dembélé, 20 year old French winger, €105 million, from Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona.
2- Paulinho, 29 year old Brazilian midfielder, €40 million, from Guangzhou Evergrande to FC Barcelona.
3- Vitolo, 27 year old Spanish winger, €36 million, from Sevilla to Atlético de Madrid.
4- Nélson Semedo, 23 year old Portugues full back, €30 million, from Benfica to FC Barcelona.
5- Theo Hernández, 19 year old Spanish wing back, €30 million, from Alavés to Real Madrid.
