Takefusa Kubo is in Mallorca ahead of sealing his loan move to the club
The young Japanese star will spend 12 months on loan at the LaLiga club after failing to convince Zidane he was ready
Takefusa Kubo has arrived in Palma de Mallorca this morning to finalise the details of his loan move to Real Mallorca. Real Madrid had plenty of offers on the table but the final decision belonged to Kubo.
The Japanese star only joined Real Madrid in the summer but despite shining on their preseason tour, Zidane doesn't feel he is ready for a first-team place yet. That left Kubo playing under Raul Gonzalez at Castilla or searching for regular minutes - at a higher level - elsewhere.
Kubo opted for Mallorca because he believes he will play more often there than he would at other interested sides.
