Sime Vrsaljko extends Atletico Madrid contract until 2022
The right-back's been in good form since the turn of the year

Croatian defender Sime Vrsaljko has signed a contract extension with Atletico Madrid, prolonging his deal at the club by an additional year until 2022.
"I am very happy to be able to continue growing here," Vrsaljko said. "I feel very comfortable and the only thing I'm thinking about is working every day to be important to the team."
Vrsaljko's situation has changed dramatically recently. He has started eight of the last 12 games when in the previous 22 before that he'd played just six times.
The 26-year-old joined Atletico from Sassuolo in 2016 and has played 39 games for the Rojiblanco, 35 from the off, scoring one goal and setting up six more (four of which in the last two months).
