Seville delivered a resounding 2-0 victory against Osasuna on Monday, at the Estadio El Sadar. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Osasuna had been hopeful of continuing their run after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the Levante away (1-0), the other to Eibar at home (2-1) while Seville were coming from consecutive wins against Huesca and Getafe. After today's result, Osasuna are in 13th place on the table and has 25 points while Seville sit in 3rd with 48 points after 24 matches.

Seville started strongly in the first half, beginning with Diego Carlos opening the scoring in the 19th minute, finalising the first half with a 1-0.

Seville started the second half on an intensified spirit, thanks to early goal from Luuk De Jong in the 49th minute to hand victory to the visitors.

For Osasuna, Jonathan Calleri, Roberto Torres, Darko Brasanac and Adrian Lopez came on for Oliver Torres, Suso, Luuk De Jong, Munir El Haddadi and Joan Jordan, while Seville replaced Ivan Rakitic, Aleix Vidal, Youssef En-Nesyri, Papu Gomez and Nemanja Gudelj with Oliver Torres, Suso, Luuk De Jong, Munir El Haddadi and Joan Jordan.

There were bookings for Nacho Vidal and Lucas Torro from Osasuna and Munir El Haddadi and Joan Jordan for Seville.

Osasuna will next travel to Alaves, while Seville will face Barcelona at home.
