Pablo Machin's side have won in the Copa del Rey in that time but their last victory in the league was on Dec. 16 against Girona.

Since then, they have failed to pick up three points against Leganes, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Club and Real Madrid, which had seen them drop to fourth in the league table.

However, after beating Barcelona in the Copa del Rey in midweek, Sevilla produced an emphatic performance to hammer Levante at the Sanchez Pizjuan, with five different scorers on target.

All the goals came after the break. Wissam Ben Yedder opened the scoring in the 48th minute, with Andre Silva doubling the home side's lead on the hour mark.

Franco Vazquez made it three 10 minutes later before Pablo Sarabia made it four from the penalty spot with 10 minutes remaining in the game.

Quincy Promes, lively against Barça on Wednesday, added the fifth and final goal in stoppage time.

Sevilla's win moves them, temporarily, ahead of Madrid in the table in third place. Both teams have 36 points, with Los Blancos travelling to Espanyol on Sunday.
