The coach "would love" to have Ceballos back at Betis but doesn't know what the Spanish midfielder's situation is in Madrid

Real Betis coach, Quique Setien, spoke to Cadena COPE radio about various topics including their preseason preparations, Fabian Ruiz and the possible return of Dani Ceballos to the club.

Setien has never hid his interest in Ceballos, someone he considers to be a great player who he'd "love" to have in his squad.

"I don't know what his situation is but Ceballos is a great player, one we've always liked, and we'd love to have him here with us. For the way we play, there are footballers who could suit us perfectly. They could help us because they know how we play and they'd make us better. It isn't just about playing football, it's about being happy when you go to work."

On Betis' mini-tour of Germany: "Honestly, we're happy because we had the opportunity to work on things. With European football this season, we won't have as much time to prepare."

In regards to Fabian's departure to Napoli: "We've lost a player like Fabian, someone we knew well, someone who who brought a certain quality to the team. But we've signed other players who we believe can also bring stuff to the table." Setien said his squad wasn't finalised yet and more new faces could arrive.
