Rubiales: While I'm president there will be no Monday football
The RFEF president pledged to keep football to other days of the week
The president of the Federación Española de fútbol (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, said that "there will not be football on Mondays" when he is in charge because "it is bad". Rubiales also wants free time for lower league football to take place without Liga or Segunda games.
"We'll try to have a timeslot without football from the first or second division," he added.
Rubiales faces a challenge from Iker Casillas, who will run to be president.
“Yes, I’ll be running for RFEF President when elections are called,” the goalkeeper wrote on Twitter.
