Real Sociedad were held to 2-2 draw by Real Betis down on Saturday at the Reale Arena. Real Sociedad were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 2-1 to Barcelona while Real Betis were coming from consecutive wins against Celta and Huesca. After an uneventful first half, The second half started favourably for Real Sociedad, beginning with early goal from Alexander Isak in the 48th minute. Later, Real Sociedad scored again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal to make it 2-0. However, Real Betis hit back in the 85th minute, with a goal from Sergio Canales. Later, Real Betis scored again and snatched an equaliser thanks to a goal from Joaquin in the 90th minute just before the final whistle, levelled the score at 2-2 draw.

For Real, Joseba Zaldua, Martin Zubimendi, Ander Barrenetxea, Adnan Januzaj and Jon Bautista came on for Paul Akouokou, Andres Guardado, Diego Lainez, Loren Moron and Nabil Fekir, while Betis brought on William Carvalho, Cristian Tello, Rodri, Antonio Sanabria and Joaquin to replace Paul Akouokou, Andres Guardado, Diego Lainez, Loren Moron and Nabil Fekir.

There were bookings for Mikel Merino and Joseba Zaldua from Real and Paul Akouokou and Juan Miranda for Betis.
