Former Barcelona striker Choco Lozano struck the only goal of the game as Cadiz stunned Real Madrid in La Liga.

Lozano scored in the 16th minute after a knockdown from veteran striker Alvaro Negredo, who rolled back the years to cause Madrid all sorts of problems in the first half.

Cadiz were well on top at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium from the start. Sergio Ramos cleared off the line from Negredo, who then sent a header just wide.

The ex-Spain international then turned provider to set up Lozano, who spent the 2017-18 season with Barça B, but Cadiz would have been disappointed to only go in with a one-goal lead at the break.

If Cadiz were disappointed, Zinedine Zidane was furious. The French coach responded by making four changes at half time.

However, despite that, and a fifth change late on -- Luka Jovic on for Toni Kroos -- Madrid could not find a way back in to the game.

Jovic had a goal disallowed because Benzema was offside in the build up and Benzema then rattled the bar with a screaming effort from 20 yards.

The win drew Cadiz level with Madrid on 10 points at the top of the table as Zidane's side tasted defeat for the first time this season.

Next up for Los Blancos is Barcelona in the first Clasico of the season. That game is played next Saturday at Camp Nou.
