All 3 points secure for Betis as they see off visiting Granada on Monday

Real Betis beat Granada with a thumping 2-1 victory on Monday at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. Betis wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid in their previous game. Granada, on the other hand, had lost their previous match against Cádiz. After today's result, Betis are in 6th place on the table and has 54 points while Granada sit in 10th with 45 points after 35 matches.

Betis started strongly in the first half, with Borja Iglesias giving The Green-and-Whites the lead, 39 minutes in and managed to see out the first half 1-0.

Nasrids took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Darwin Machis at the 66 minute mark. Betis in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with a second effort from Borja Iglesias and seeing the game end 2-1.

For Betis, Cristian Tello, Diego Lainez, Rodri and Andres Guardado, came on for Joaquin, Aitor Ruibal, William Carvalho and Sergio Canales. Granada brought on Fede Vico, Yan Eteki, Jorge Molina, Victor Diaz and Nehuen Perez, to replace Angel Montoro, Yangel Herrera, Fede Vico, Darwin Machis and Domingos Duarte.

There were bookings for Victor Ruiz and Joaquin from Betis, and Angel Montoro, Antonio Puertas, Yan Eteki and Quini, for Granada.

Betis will next play Eibar away, with Granada facing R Madrid at home.
