The goalkeeper is sure the clash between the two sides will be "quite complicated" as Atletico look to move into top spot

Jan Oblak is keen for the rest of his Atletico Madrid teammates to share the praise he is receiving at the moment for his performances. The giant stopper attained his 100th clean sheet in just 179 appearances for Diego Siemone's side and claims that achievement, as well as his three Zamora trophies, is due to the team he plays for.

"It's a pretty high number for the amount of games we've played together but those numbers aren't just mine, they belong to the team. Without them I'd never reach such heights and I'm grateful to them," explained Oblak in a video posted by the club. The goalkeeper was named as 'Player of the Month' by Atletico fans. "I feel good. Thank you to the fans for giving me this award. But what's important isn't this but rather the fact the team did a good job in October and we're high up in the table."

Oblak received his third consecutive Zamora trophy which is awarded to the goalkeeper who concedes the least amount of goals in the previous season. The keeper, once again, said the prize belonged as much to his teammates, coaching staff and fans as it does him. "I'd like to thank them also for their work, for their help in picking up this award."

FC Barcelona are Oblak and Atletico's next opponents following the international break. It's a match the goalkeeper believes will be "quite complicated" to win. "Barça are a great team and it's never easy to play against them but I'm sure we can play well and win the match. It's going to be difficult but it's very important for us," concluded Oblak.
