Seville secured a valuable away win and three points against Real Sociedad

Seville beat Real Sociedad with a thumping 2-1 victory on Sunday at the Reale Arena. Real arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Valencia in their previous game. Seville were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid. As the table looks today, Real and Seville currently occupy 5th and 4th spots in the league, with 47 points and 64 points respectively after 33 matches.

Real started strongly in the first half, with an early goal from Carlos Fernandez in the 5th minute. However, the good fortune didn't last for long. An equalizer from Fernando at the 22 minute mark brought Seville level. However they weren't finished yet and Youssef En-Nesyri made it 2-1 at the 24 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-2. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-1 at full time.

For Real, Andoni Gorosabel, Adnan Januzaj, Jon Guridi and Portu, came on for Robin Le Normand, Mikel Oyarzabal, Aritz Elustondo and Ander Barrenetxea. Seville replaced Ivan Rakitic, Oliver Torres, Nemanja Gudelj, Franco Vazquez and Luuk De Jong with Suso, Papu Gomez, Joan Jordan, Lucas Ocampos and Youssef En-Nesyri.

There were bookings for Carlos Fernandez, Alexander Isak, Ander Barrenetxea and Portu from Real, and Diego Carlos and Joan Jordan, for Seville.

Real will next travel to Huesca, while Seville will face Athletic Bilbao at home.
