Malaga sign a fourth Venezuelan, Adalberto Penaranda

Venezuelan forward Adalberto Penaranda has signed for Malaga on loan from Watford.

The striker said he "had various offers from La Liga teams" and decided to pick "an historic club where he hoped to have a good season and "provide many victories".

The player takes Weligton's squad number, with the defender injured. Penaranda thanked the veteran centre-back, saying he is "very grateful" because "not everyone would do it".

Penaranda, 19, played at Granada last season. He can play down the middle or on the wings. He said he "wants to have a good season, and if God wants it, to continue another year at Malaga".

He joins Juanpi Anor, Roberto Rosales and Mikel Villanueva as the fourth Venezuelan at the Andalusian club.
