Tebas explained the homage that will be paid to clubs and Covid-19 heroes

La Liga president Javier Tebas explained on Sunday that there would be "infinite applause" in minute 20 of matches when the division starts again. It will be a chance for fans to show their support not only to their clubs but also to the heroes of the Covid-19 health crisis, like doctors and nurses.

It is the "Applause to Infinity" project and fans will record their applause and it will be played in the stadiums for 30 seconds.

"Supporters in the stands make football complete but now, due to reasons beyond their control, they won't be able to be there," La Liga president Tebas told Movistar.

"We have created this initiative to help fans be a part of LaLiga's return and also as an opportunity for them to show their support for the heroes of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We want them to feel close to their team, even if they cannot be in the stadiums cheering them on, and for players to feel the support of their fans."
