The Liga chief was not impressed by Laporta's claim over the ESL

Javier Tebas, La Liga's president spoke about Joan Laporta's claim that the European Super League could start in 2025.

"In 2025 there will be no Super League, whatever the court verdict says," said Tebas.

"The EU has already said they want to maintain the current model in Europe, although some details could change. There will not be an organisation created in the hands of the richest."

Tebas was also asked about the Kings League set up by Gerard Pique.

"It's like if you're asking if Pasapalabra (a tv show) can compete with La Liga. The only similarity is that there is a ball. It's not comparable on an audio-visual level. When Ibai and Pique bought Ligue 1 for Spain it seemed like a revolution, but it lasted two games. They are different formats, the only thing similar is that there's a ball, and a goal like in La Liga Promises."
