Javier Tebas: Infantino has no say on Girona vs Barca
The LFP chief was in combative mood as he spoke about the game
Javier Tebas spoke about FIFA chief Gianni Infantino's comments about the Liga plans to hold Girona v Barca in Miami. Infantino was not keen on the game happening.
"(Infantino) has no decision on that, but I would have liked if he had a different opinion," said Tebas. "I think that doesn't make sense given what's happening with football in the United States with the MLS."
Tebas refers there to the three MLS sides from Canada.
"We don't consider ourselves competing with the MLS. If the MLS one day wants to play a game in Spain, I will help them with that game," said Tebas.
The Liga chief also said the game will take place "on 26 January at 2.45pm local time in Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium."
