Ivan Rakitic: In the second half we enjoyed it a lot
The Croatian spoke after the 5-0 win over Levante on Sunday
Ivan Rakitic was once again a fixture in Ernesto Valverde's side in the 5-0 win over Levante. He spoke to Movistar after the game.
"Last season we played badly here," said Rakitic. "They are a team that put pressure on. But in this game after 20 minutes we had control and we ended up enjoying it."
Rakitic was asked if he was afraid the same thing might happen as last season.
"Actually it's forgotten. It's true that we didn't finish the season unbeaten, but now what we are thinking about is having a new great season.
"We knew we had to wait for our moment at the back and when he had space the lads up top know how to take advantage. We enjoyed it a lot in the second half."
Leo Messi hit three and Luis Suarez one. "What we want is to enjoy it with them and enjoy them and that they enjoy themselves too. And when we win balls back up top Leo and Luis are in charge of deciding what happens."
