Atlético strolled past Eibar with a 2-1 win on Thursday at Ipurua Municipal Stadium. Eibar were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Levante in their previous fixture. Eibar started strongly in the first half, following a goal from Marko Dmitrovic, 12 minutes in. However, their lead was short lived, with an equalizer from a Luis Suarez just before half-time brought Atlético Madrid level, which saw the first half end 1-1.
Atlético Madrid continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with Luis Suarez opening the scoring just before the final whistle to hand victory to the visitors.
