Griezmann returns to training at Atlético Madrid following his 'no' to Barça
Griezmann, alongside fellow World Cup winner Lucas Hernández, has returned to preseason training following his busy summer
After an eventful summer, Antoine Griezmann has returned to preseason training with Atletico Madrid. The forward's summer included: a documentary about his future in which he ultimately turned down Barça and signed a new deal at Atletico, plus he won a little something called the World Cup with France.
The number '7' was back out on the field alongside his fellow countryman and teammate Lucas Hernández. The recently crowned World Champions began building up their fitness this Monday at the Ciudad Deportiva del Atlético de Madrid while the rest of the first team squad are in Italy until the 8th August.
Both players appeared happy on their return to preseason training. To avoid the hot temperatures, the duo started work at 8am in the gym before later going out onto the pitch with the other players not with the first team in Italy.

Griezmann and Lucas were the last two members of Atletico's squad to return. Now Diego Simeone has a full squad at his disposal and can begin preparation for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Real Madrid on the 15th August in Tallinn, Estonia.
