The refereeing appointments have been confirmed for the eighth round of fixtures in La Liga, with Barcelona's trip to Valencia the standout game.

Another big game takes place at San Mames: the Basque derby between Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad. Alejandro Hernández Hernández will be in the middle.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, host in form Real Betis, with Undiano Mallenco taking the whistle at the Wanda.
Finally, Real Madrid travel to Alaves looking to get back to winning ways after losing to Sevilla and drawing with Atletico. Jaime Latre will referee the game in Vitoria.
