Geoffrey Kondogbia promises work and commitment at Atletico Madrid
The former Valencia player has joined Diego Simeone's side with the aim of working hard
Geoffrey Kondogbia has spoken for the first time since joining Atletico Madrid from Valencia. He replaces Thomas Partey, who moved to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The midfielder said that he "arrives with hope" and that "it will be a pride to wear the shirt", at his third club in Spain after Sevilla and Valencia.
"I can't wait to debut," he added. He will compete with Hector Herrera and Lucas Torreira to win a place in the double pivot of Diego Simeone's side.
Of the Argentine coach he said: "Although I have not worked with him, from outside I've seen the values he transmits, commitment and work, two keys to achieve objectives."
