Elche cruise to a 0-2 win vs. Alavés at Estadio de Mendizorroza

Alavés on Sunday lost to Elche on a home defeat at Estadio de Mendizorroza. Alavés wanted to continue adding points after winning at home stadium by a 1-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao while Elche scored a 0 draw against Huesca, adding a point in the last match played of the competition. At the moment, Alavés is 18th in the LaLiga, having garnered 4 points from 6 matches, while Elche sits at 12th with 7 points after playing a total of 6 matches.

Excellent start from Elche, thanks to a goal from Pere Milla 39 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 0-1.

Elche boosted the game in the second half, with a goal from Tete Morente just before the end of the second half, finalising the game with a 0-2.

For Alavés Victor Laguardia, Borja Sainz, Tomas Pina, Javi Lopez and Luis Rioja came on for Florian Lejeune, Edgar Mendez, Jota, Adrian Marin and Rodrigo Ely, while Elche brought on Emiliano Rigoni, Omenuke Mfulu, Guido Carrillo, Diego Gonzalez and Luismi to replace Juan Sanchez Mino, Ivan Marcone, Josan, Emiliano Rigoni and Tete Morente.

The referee booked Florian Lejeune and Rodrigo Ely from Alavés, while for Elche Ivan Marcone, Dani Calvo, Tete Morente, Josan and Emiliano Rigoni saw a yellow card as well.

Alavés will play against Real Valladolid at away stadium, while Elche will face Valencia at home stadium.
