Eibar suffers defeat against Alavés with a 2-1 at Estadio de Mendizorroza

Eibar on away loss to Alavés at Estadio de Mendizorroza on Friday. Alavés and Eibar arrived at this challenge after drawing their last game. Alavés faced the encounter with a desire to add more points to their locker after a draw against Sevilla (1-1) while Eibar scored a 1 draw against Real Betis, adding a point in the last match played of the competition. As of today, Alavés is 13th in the LaLiga, having garnered 27 points from 23 matches, while Eibar sits at 16th with 24 points after playing a total of 23 matches.

The game started favourably for Alavés, with a goal from Lucas Perez just before the end of the 45 minutes, finalising the first half with a 1-0.

Alavés took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Oliver Burke in the 66th minute. Eibar hit back thanks to a goal from Fabian Orellana 83 minutes in the game to establish the 2-1, which saw the second half to a 2-1.

At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Alavés Lucas Perez, Edgar Mendez and Martin Aguirregabiria came on for Ljubomir Fejsa, Oliver Burke and Joselu, while Eibar brought on Charles, Pablo De Blasis and Takashi Inui to replace Pedro Leon, Pedro Bigas and Sebastian Cristoforo.

The referee booked Aleix Vidal, Ximo Navarro and Manu Garcia from Alavés, while for Eibar Pedro Leon and Charles saw a yellow card as well.
