Di María offers himself to replace Griezmann at Atletico
Simeone would be keen on signing the Argentine from PSG
PSG winger Angel Di Maria has offered himself to Atletico Madrid, according to radio station El Larguero.
The Argentine wants to leave PSG and Atletico see him as a good alternative to Antoine Griezmann, who is almost certain to join FC Barcelona.
The magical trident of Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani has closed the door to Di Maria's hopes of starting games with PSG and he thinks it's possible to regain his confidence and importance at the Wanda Metropolitano. It has also been reported that Cavani wants to leave and come to Atletico, although the Uruguayan insists he is happy in Paris.
Simeone also is keen on briging in the Argentine. Let's not forget that in 2014 he said "Di Maria is Real Madrid's best football, the most unpredictable to play against."
Di Maria has a contract with PSG until 2019 and the Paris side would not close the doors to him leaving as they need to bring down their wage bill to comply with financial fair play.
The Argentine was on the verge of joining Barça last summer but his high price aborted the operation..
As well as Cavani and Di Maria, Atletico are said to be interested in signing Gerard Moreno from Espanyol.
