The Spanish club will not sign the Colombian permanently

Colombian international Carlos Bacca's future is not going to be at Villarreal. The club have decided not to take up their option to sign him from AC Milan this summer -- he is currently on loan from the Italian giants.

Villarreal signed Baccas last summer with the hope of helping him recapture the form he showed at Sevilla prior to his move to Serie A. However, his performances have not hit the heights expected and the club have decided not to sign him permanently.

To bring the Colombia striker in, the La Liga club would have to pay Milan 18 million euros before the end of June, as agreed last summer.

Bacca will turn 32 in September and his age, coupled with his performances, have counted against him when it has come to making a final decision.
