Pacheta’s squad travelled to Cádiz on Saturday, but came away with nothing as Cádiz take the points

Cádiz beat Huesca with a thumping 2-1 victory on Saturday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Cádiz were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Huesca, on the other hand, had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Real Sociedad. After today's result, Cádiz are in 11th place on the table and has 43 points while Huesca sit in 18th with 30 points after 35 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Cádiz, thanks to Marcos Mauro giving Cádiz the lead at the 43 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Rafa Mir in the 45th minute, brought Huesca level. However, Cádiz just before half-time found the back of the net following a Gaston Silva goal, finalising the first half 2-1. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Cádiz, Alvaro Negredo, Jairo Izquierdo, Ruben Sobrino, Alberto Perea and Garrido, came on for Ivan Saponjic, Anthony Lozano, Ivan Alejo, Filip Malbasic and Jose Mari. Huesca brought on Sergio Gomez, Pedro Lopez, Idrissa Doumbia, Dani Escriche and Shinji Okazaki, to replace Pedro Mosquera, Denis Vavro, Mikel Rico, Pablo Maffeo and Gaston Silva.

The referee booked Jose Mari, Jens Jonsson, Isaac Carcelen and Fali for Cádiz.

Cádiz will next play Osasuna away, with Huesca facing Athletic Bilbao at home.
