Cadiz 1-4 Atletico Madrid: Rojiblancos bounce back from Milan loss

Simeone's side remained in touch at the top of LaLiga with this big win

Atletico Madrid bounced back from their midweek defeat to AC Milan with an impressive 4-1 win against Cadiz in LaLiga on Sunday.

Diego Simeone's side are in danger of exiting the Champions League in the group stage but they remain in touch at the top of LaLiga after a resounding win at the Nuevo Mirandilla.

All the goals came in the second half, with Thomas Lemar breaking the deadlock in the 56th minute after good work from Yannick Carrasco.

Antoine Griezmann added the second in the 70th minute and Angel Correa's goal six minutes later sealed the three points for the Rojiblancos.

Cadiz pulled a goal back late on via a Jan Oblak own goal but there was still time for Atletico to grab a fourth through substitute Matheus Cunha.

The result moved Atletico second on 29 points ahead of the game between Real Madrid (30 points) and Sevilla (28 points) later on Sunday.
