Elche fail to gain points in their opening fixture of the season against Barcelona

After an uneventful first half, The second half started in favour of Barcelona, with early goal from Lionel Messi in the 48th minute. Later, Barcelona scored again and increased their advantage thanks to a new goal from Lionel Messi, scoring his second goal to make it 2-0. Later, Barcelona took the lead with a goal form a goal from Jordi Alba in minute 73, which sealed the victory for Barcelona.
For Barcelona Ousmane Dembele, Sergio Busquets, Antoine Griezmann, Clement Lenglet and Sergino Dest came on for Miralem Pjanic, Trincao, Martin Braithwaite, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba, while Elche brought on Fidel, Tete Morente, Guido Carrillo, Nino and Luismi to replace Miguel Cifuentes, Emiliano Rigoni, Lucas Boye, Pere Milla and Omenuke Mfulu.
In the next round of action in the LaLiga, both Elche and Barcelona will play away against Granada and Seville respectively.
