Atletico midfielder Saul: "Go to Madrid? No bloody way!"

The Spain international spoke to 'El Larguero' on Cadena Ser

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez spoke to El Larguero on Cadena Ser ahead of this weekend's Madrid derby against Real at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Among other things, he spoke about the possibility of leaving Atletico for Real, and his answer will go down well with Rojiblanco supporters.

"Real Madrid? For me, it's impossible. It would be very, very difficult, almost impossible. No bloody way," he responded.

However, he wasn't as firm when asked about a potential move to Barça, who have held a priority option on him since they sold David Villa to Atletico.

"They didn't call me," Saul said of Barça's reported interest in the past, although he admitted there "was one year when it was close. I've never listened to offers. The year of the Milan [Champions League final] I had offers but they offered me a new dal here [at Atleti]."

Saul also commented on Atletico's move from the Vicente Calderon to the Wanda Metropolitano, which has now been their home since the beginning of last season.

"I hope I don't offend anyone but I prefer the Vicente Calderon," he said. He added being at the Wanda "is not the same" and said the main difference in the "union" the players felt in their old home.
