Athletic suffers defeat against Betis with a 3-2 at Benito Villamarin

Athletic on Sunday lost to Betis on an away defeat at Benito Villamarin. Real Betis and Athletic arrived at this match having taken good results. Real Betis wanted to continue adding points after winning their previous two matches against Mallorca away and Valencia at home stadium, by 1-2 and 2-1 respectively while Athletic won in their last two matches of the competition against Granada at home stadium, and Osasuna away, by 2-0 and 1-2 respectively. At the moment, Real Betis and Athletic occupy position 11th (22 points) and 6th (26 points) respectively after playing a total of 16 matches.

The first 45 minutes was in favour of Real Betis, with a good early goal from Joaquin in the 2nd minute. Later, Real Betis scored again and increased their advantage thanks to another goal from Joaquin with the score 2-0.
