Alvaro Negredo rejects Barcelona offer of six-month spell at Camp Nou

Barcelona are satisfied with the work of sporting director Robert Fernandez, who has been working hard to find a striker who can join at zero cost, but he has been rejected by Alvaro Negredo.

The striker is not happy at Valencia, after being ostracised by former coach Nuno Espirito Santo. Gary Neville has offered him a chance in the first team.

At Barcelona he knows that it would be difficult to get minutes, considering the form and talent there is in the trident up front, Messi, Neymar and Suarez. Furthermore, he could not feature in the Champions League, having already done so for Valencia.

The striker would prefer to play at Valencia and perhaps earn selection by Spain for Euro 2016 if he does well. He met with Robert Fernandez, who offered him a six-month spell at Barcelna ,which Negredo opted not to pick.
