They are not happy that Tebas insists on planning games for Fridays and Mondays

The Spanish Football Federation's [RFEF] response to La Liga releasing the times and dates for the first three rounds of fixtures for the new season did not take long.

Spanish football's governing body are not happy that the league are insisting on organising games for Mondays and Fridays in the new campaign.

Barcelona, for example, kick off the new season against Athletic Club at San Mames in August.

"The RFEF don't authorise La Liga games on Fridays (without an agreement) or Mondays," president of the body Luis Rubiales tweeted.

"The Superior Council of Sports (CSD) meets with us on this on July 17 and Javier Tebas has blown up the meeting and won't give the time of day to football, fans and even the CSD. We continue to say the same: THERE WILL BE NO FOOTBALL ON MONDAYS."

The RFEF said last season that there would be no more Monday games following fan protests. They are open to games on Fridays, although there must be an agreement in place first.
