The Asociación de Fútbol de Argentina (AFA) are trying to organise a huge event for Leo's return to the national team, as well as one which could help generate a lot of money for an FA which is feeling the pinch after COVID-19.
This information comes from the Argentine newspaper 'Ole'. FIFA have the 8th October as the date on which the South American World Cup Qualifiers will begin but the 3rd and 8th September are currently reserved for UEFA's Nations League. Argentina and Brazil could take advantage of these dates to bring two South American superpowers to Europe. They are also hopeful - and really need - supporters to be allowed into the stadium.
Argentina face Ecuador and Bolivia in October although Leo won't be available for the first match.
