After letting Alberto Moreno leave on a free transfer, the Reds need another left back ahead of next season

Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool want to reinforce the left-hand side of their defence after allowing Alberto Moreno to leave on a free transfer. After reaching the last two Champions League finals, Klopp is keen on maintaining the level of competition in the current squad.

Right now they only have Scottish international Andrew Robertson as a natural left back on their books. One of the options they are considering is Real Betis' Junior Firpo, who has a buyout clause of just €50m. The Spanish U21 international impressed onlookers with his performances in LaLiga last year.

FC Barcelona have also asked about the speedy full-back's situation at Betis and view him as someone that could do a job now and has room to develop into a world class player.

Firpo is under contract until 2023 and Betis will demand any interested party must pay his full €50m clause.
