The French striker continued his fine form on Wednesday

He has seven goals in his last two matches in the league

Antoine Griezmann is in spectacular form and is showing once again why he is one of the best players on the planet.

The French forward scored a hat-trick in Atletico Madrid's win over Sevilla at the weekend and followed it up with four goals against Leganes on Wednesday.

Griezmann, who was taken off to a standing ovation after scoring his fourth goal, is Atletico's big hope as they look to hunt down La Liga leaders Barça.

With seven goals in his last two appearances and 13 in 2018, he's in his best form of the season going into Sunday's game at Camp Nou.

Everything suggestes he will move to Barça this summer and there can be no doubts that the Catalan club would be getting one of Europe's finest players.

Barça have been following him for months and have his signing at an advances stage -- an agreement is in place with the player and they will pay the 100 million euro buyout clause.

Atletico, meanwhile, are showing they will fight until the end for the title. Wednesday's 4-0 win over Leganes moved them to within four points of Barcelona, who play Las Palmas on Thursday.

The top two in Spain then meet at Camp Nou on Sunday in a match which could have huge implication in the title race.
