Diego Simeone not allowed on bench or in dressing room
In the European Super Cup Simeone serves the third of the four match ban on him
Diego Simeone misses the game between his Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid on Wednesday, the European Super Cup. El Cholo serves in Tallin the third of a four game ban imposed on him by UEFA after his sending off against Arsenal in the semi-final of the Europa League.
He was given three matches for insulting the match official and a fourth for his gestures from the stands after being sent off. He had to miss the Europa League final against Marseille.
Cholo is not allowed in the dresing room or on the touchline during the game. He is only allowed to speak to his players in person once the game is over. It remains to be seen if he will fulfil his media duties on Tuesday night.
CAN HE SPEAK TO THE BENCH?
Since June 1 the rules have changed. He is allowed to use small size electronic communication tech to speak to his team - microphones, headphones, mobiles, smartwatches, tablets etc.
