As things stand, games will be played behind closed doors

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) want all games in La Liga and La Segunda to be suspended due to coronavirus, according to Cadena SER.

La Liga has already confirmed games will be played behind closed doors for the next two weeks but RFEF chief Luis Rubiales wants them to go one step further to help contain the spread of covid-19.

On Wednesday, the RFEF confirmed that all non-professional football will be suspended for two weeks. They are now keen for the same to apply to the professional game.

The Spanish Players' Association (AFE) is also keen for games to be suspended as coronavirus continues to spread in Spain. There are now more than 2,000 cases.

SPORT have learned that La Liga don't plan to suspend games yet unless there is a government ruling on the issue. A meeting is now expected to take place on Thursday to decide more.
