Laureus: Iniesta's Barça goodbye was one of July's best moments
The World Sports Academy has named Iniesta's Camp Nou farewell as one of July's four best sporting moments
Barcelona's tribute to ones of it's greatest stars, Andres Iniesta, has been named as one of the best sporting moments from the month of July, according to the Laureus Academy.
As well as Iniesta's farewell, the other three sporting moments are: Mikel Khan, a seven year old boy who has been inspired by Shane Warne, Nathan Rae's tribute to the Manchester terroristic attack viticims in 2017 and Sida Kolisi, the first black player to become captain of South Africa's rugby team.
The four stories chosen by Laureus Academy can now be voted for by users on their website, mylaureus.com. The highest voted stories each month, from March to December, will participate in a final vote to determine the best sporting moment of the year which will be announced at the Laureus Awards 2019.
