The Belgian winger has been hit with the sanction after deliberately missing two matches for the Chinese Super League side

Yannick Carrasco's football career has gone off a cliff ever since he left Atletico Madrid. The 25-year-old winger surprised everyone when he agreed to join Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang and he's now been suspended without pay.

The reason behind that is because Carrasco has deliberately missed two Dalian matches. He picked up a booking which allowed him to travel to Belgium earlier than expected and he's now returned later than planned. He blamed delays with his connecting flights which the club investigated and found not to be true.

According to Belgian newspaper 'Het Laatste Nieuws', Carrasco has three days to apologise to his teammates for his poor attitude if he wants the punishment to be lifted. However, some believe this is a strategy to force a transfer back to Europe. Arsenal are one of the sides who are pushing hard to land the wantaway winger this summer.
