Keira Walsh will become an FC Barcelona player in the next few hours, pending the official announcement.
The English midfielder arrives from Manchester City and her transfer, valued at around 400,000 euros, will be the highest in the history of women's football.
The player has played a key role in the deal.
From the outset, Walsh said she wanted to play for FC Barcelona, insisted when negotiations were at a standstill and even made an effort to make her wishes come true: she contributed a significant part of the total transfer fee out of her own pocket.
It is expected that the English midfielder will travel to Barcelona in the next few days to undergo a medical and finally join the azulgrana ranks.
