Deulofeu asks Watford to let him play for Catalonia
The winger wants to represent Catalonia against Venezuela next week
Gerard Deulofeu has asked Watford to let him play for Catalonia in next week's friendly against Venezuela in Girona.
The Premier League side have been receptive to the winger's plea and, pending official confirmation, the former Barcelona man is optimistic.
Watford train next Monday but both the coach -- Spaniard Javi Gracia -- and the owner -- Gino Pozzo -- are sensitive about Deulofeu's request.
Gracia spent time playing for Catalan side Lleida as a player and Pozzo has spent a lot of time in the Catalan city of Barcelona.
It's expected that Deulofeu will be granted permission to play for Catalonia in the match against Venezuela on March 25.
