The 16-year-old made his debut for the B team in Saturday's loss to Cornella
Barcelona B coach Garcia Pimienta has spoken about, Ilias Akhomach's debut for the Catalan club's second string in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Cornella.
Ilias, 16, is one of the hottest properties to come out of La Masia in recent seasons and even though he was only promoted to the U19s this summer he's already training and playing with the B team.
"It was the last game of preseason and we had players out and he's already shown that he's pushing with the youth teams," Pimienta said after brining the forward on in the second half.
"He's a cheeky, brave player with a lot of quality, but he's only 16. We have very young players and we can't load them with too much responsibility.
"What's clear is that the academy is bringing through a lot of players and he's one that we will have in mind this season, for sure."
Ilias impressed in his brief cameo and was the star of the second half, despite Barça going down to defeat in their final friendly before the action starts for real.
