The Segunda side are happy to loan both, or to sign both with Barça retaining a buy-back option

Barça B's failure to gain promotion means a lot of the most talented youngsters need to find a new home ahead of next season. Jorge Cuenca and Juan Miranda are the latest pair to receive offers to leave as Almeria look to rebuild themselves.

Cuenca was an ever-present alongside Ronald Araujo in Garcia Pimienta's side. He proved that he's too good for Spain's third division and was on the fringes of the senior side at one point. Koeman is aware of his talent and asked Cuenca to complete preseason with the first team.

Miranda returns from a largely uneventful loan spell in Germany with Schalke 04. He's under contract until 2021 with an option of a further two. Barça are still confident he's got the potential to break through into the first team soon.

Almeria's owner, Turki Al-Sheikh, believes he can strike a deal for both promising youngsters. He's happy to go along with a simple season-long loan deal but wouldn't be against signing both with Barça retaining a buy-back option.

Espanyol beat Almeria and this has forced them to speed up their movements in the transfer window.
