The huge market price of Erling Haaland that could put clubs off
The Borussia Dortmund striker is wanted by a number of Europe's top clubs
Erling Haaland is consolidating himself as one of the biggest players in European football. The Norwegian made a statement last month with a big performance against Sevilla in the Champions League and shows week after week that he's more than just a player to watch for the future.
Coupled with his goal-scoring form for Borussia Dortmund this season, despite the German club's struggles domestically, Haaland is the target of interest from some of the biggest sides on the continent. Among the most interested are Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
On Tuesday, on El Chiringuito, Eduardo Inda claimed that the market value of Erling Haaland is 150 million euros, a figure that any club, due to the financial problems as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, would be able to pay, making it difficult for him to leave BVB this summer.
However, despite Inda's comments, there are reports that Dortmund agreed a release clause when they signed Haaland for a much lower figure, although it's not clear when that clause would kick in. Haaland joined Dortmund last January from Red Bull Salzburg.
