Ángeles declared herself on a hunger strike on Monday due to the "treatment" of her son

The mother of Luis Rubiales, until now president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, locked herself on Monday in the church of the Divina Pastora in Motril.

Ángeles Béjar declared herself on a hunger strike until a solution to the "inhuman and bloody hunt" her son is being subjected to is found.

Against the "social murder" after the forced kiss of Jenni Hermoso, Ángeles said Tuesday: "They are doing something to my son that he doesn't deserve."

The occupation of the church in the Capuchinos neighbourhood of Motril will be "indefinite, day and night" until justice is done for her son, according to Rubiales' mother. On her second day of strike, Ángeles Béjar made statements to 'El programa del verano.'

The reporter detailed that the parish priest of the church is not comfortable with the situation: "We saw him leave first thing this morning, he did not want to give any statement and he did not seem at all comfortable with the situation."

She added that "the situation is complicated because "despite the lock-in, this evening there is a mass scheduled at 20:00 hours."

The journalist also managed to speak exclusively with Ángeles while she remains locked inside the church.

Rubiales' mother, as well as the president's cousins, pointed to Jenni Hermoso: "I want this girl to tell the truth."

After this, Ángeles added: "I'm fine, thank you very much. Now, please, I want to pray."

The journalist asked again about her state of health after seeing a doctor enter the church earlier in the morning.

Ángeles quickly clarified: "I'm fine, I believe a lot in God and I ask for the truth to prevail."

However, the following statement surprised the reporter: "I'll be here as long as my body can take it, I don't mind dying for justice because my son is a decent person."
