Gerard Moreno opens the door to an Espanyol exit
The forward has a clause of 40m euros which goes up to 50m on July 1
Espanyol forward Gerard Moreno said after his team's draw at Las Palmas that he could leave in the summer. The club's top scorer with 15 league goals, said: "We will see what happens in the market opens, I'm focused on the team, there's a way to go.
"There are other parties that should speak and I don't think I have to answer (if I will stay or not), the priority is to move up the table because it brings more money in to the team."
Moreno has a contract until June 30, 2022, with a 40m euro release clause which goes to 50m on July 1. He is Espanyol's highest value player.
He liked that the fans chanted his name. "What these fans made me feel, nobody has made me feel before," said the player.
